About PDF and PNG conversion

PNG is useful when a PDF page needs to become an image without adding JPG artifacts, especially for screenshots, diagrams, forms, and pages with sharp text edges. The converter renders every page and exposes each page as its own PNG download.

The exported PNG is a raster capture. It can preserve crisp rendered pixels at the chosen scale, but text and vector content are no longer editable or selectable as document objects.

The browser refuses password-protected PDFs, documents above the page limit, and pages whose scaled canvas would exceed the same decoded RGBA memory budget used by image conversion.

FAQ

When is PNG better than JPG for PDF pages?

Choose PNG for diagrams, screenshots, forms, and page captures where sharp edges and lossless output matter more than small file size.

Does every PDF page become an image?

Yes. Each page renders separately and appears as its own PNG download link in the file row.

Will the PNG keep selectable PDF text?

No. The result is an image of the page, so text becomes pixels rather than selectable document text.

Why not support encrypted PDFs?

This narrow converter does not include password prompts. Encrypted or password-protected PDFs fail clearly for that file.
