No file selected yet.About browser PDF splitting
This tool reads the selected PDF with pdf-lib, copies each page into a new one-page PDF, and exposes each result as a local download link. There is no upload endpoint in the split path.
Split PDF is for extracting pages as separate PDF files. It does not OCR scanned documents, edit text, delete selected pages, or combine pages into a different order.
FAQ
Are split PDF files uploaded?
No. The original PDF is read in your browser and each page PDF is created locally on your device.
What downloads after splitting?
Each page appears as its own PDF download link, named from the original file with a page number.
Does Split PDF OCR or edit text?
No. It copies existing PDF pages into new one-page PDFs. It does not OCR scans or rewrite page text.
Why are very long PDFs refused?
Browser memory is limited, so PDFs above the page-count guardrail are refused instead of risking a frozen tab.
